New York University Press has been announced as the latest partner to join the University Press Scholarship Online (UPSO) publishing programme. Coming in March 2016, the press will launch New York University Press Scholarship Online, bringing almost 400 high-quality works of NYU scholarship to the ever-growing UPSO library. Ellen Chodosh, Director of the Press, said: “NYU is a global university with campuses around the world, so it is fitting that New York University Press is partnering with an enterprise known for its global reach and for offering the work of scholars from around the world."
Oxford University Press is equally as excited to welcome NYU into the family of academic presses that contribute to UPSO. Speaking on the forthcoming launch of New York University Press Scholarship Online, Kurt Hettler, Director of Publishing Services at OUP, said: "NYU Press boasts a publishing program as innovative and wide ranging as its long and distinguished history ... It is especially exciting to be partnering with them at a time of such profound change in the publishing world, and we look forward to working closely with NYU to develop an even wider audience for their academic titles."
A publisher of original scholarship since its founding in 1916, New York University Press publishes high-quality scholarship across the humanities and social sciences with over 100 new books each year. With a varied, fascinating, and world-renowned publishing list, the launch of New York University Press Scholarship Online will be of huge benefit to UPSO users, opening up works from the Press for reading and research. The UPSO team look forward to welcoming NYU Press to the platform in March 2016.
